  • Waste-to-Energy Projects
Penwood is currently evaluating the potential of establishing gas-capture facilities that shall be acquired from engineered sanitary land fill projects in Luzon and Mindanao. Currently, Penwood is engaged in discussions with engineered sanitary land fill operators particularly the San Jose del Monte Sanitary Landfill for the conduct of technical feasibility studies for the establishment of gas-capture facilities for power generation.
  • RE Power Generation and On-Site Storage
Penwood is currently evaluating the potential of combined Renewable Energy Generation and on-site storage in key areas in Luzon and Visayas, Philippines. Penwood has identified two areas that would have the ideal fundamentals for establishing a combined RE Power Generation and On-site Energy Storage platform. The decision criteria includes availability of RE sources, the technical and economic viability of the host community and the power off-take user which includes projections into energy generation or transmission from fossil-fuel based sources and the establishment of infrastructure for doing so, local government support, and others.
  • Wind Power Generation
Penwood has been appointed to identify the potential of establishing and developing a 10-Megawatt wind turbine power plant to supply power to an agro-industrial economic zone that is designed to become the first one with full environmental consideration in Northern Luzon.
  • Biomass Power Generation
Penwood is currently conducting the feasibility study to establish a power-generating facility utilizing biomass as its fuel source. Biomass, which is any plant material that may be sourced from purposely-designed biomass plantations, or by products of any agro-industrial process, is an efficient energy source that is renewable, carbon-neutral, and has an encompassing economic benefit to communities hosting biomass-based power projects.
  • Cavite Biofuel Producers, Inc. (CBPI)
Project Type: Renewable Energy, Bioethanol Production CBPI is a 125,000 liter per day bioethanol distillery in Magallanes, Cavite to be online by 2011. The bioethanol distillery will produce ethanol using sugarcane and molasses which will be sourced from the sugarcane farms throughout the province of Cavite, Philippines. CBPI will supply Anhydrous Bioethanol to domestic oil companies, produce steam and electricity for internal consumption using biomass derived from the sugar-milling process, generate Carbon Dioxide for Beverage Industry Users, and Certificates of Emission Reduction (CERs).
